Larger than life the beauty of a wooden wheel that spins farm animals fibers and plants into the material of the clothes we wear. A very useful and simple machine to operate once the basics are learned. By applying the time a skill level is produced that grows to higher levels, along with enjoyment and personal pride in crafting.
Our Road Trip Crew of Best Handcrafted & Outdoor Newsletter took a drive up through Washington, Idaho, and into Montana State, to Visit with Steven R. McEwen. Steven is the Artisan and main Contact for Q's Quality Wood Work.
P.S. Your homemade sausages & Kraut were excellent.
"...It warms my heart to restore the old wheels. Reminiscing about their owners and history. A feeling of accomplishment when I am able to breath another 100 or so years of life back into these great ladies. Most of all, the smile that grows on the new owner when they see their treasure restored." Steven R. McEwen

Is always a treat to have a chance to see in the work shop of a master craftsmen ,unveiling a sneak peak for say of his crafts 'art works" hidden talents secrets to the trades . where sweat off the brow is given towards maintaining historical into present day tools of trades what a treat that is heart warming to know people still care about such trades that were maintained in life as a must for survival dated way far back as to days of the pioneers early settlers of our great nation in a simpler but harder time keeping all this alive a maintained heritage at a finger tip.
