Rouge River, Oregon: Visiting at the Park

Photography by Angela Jane Howard
The new bridge spans across the river higher than the old one that the flood waters came up right against.  There is a seating area along the people path way on the bridge to sit and enjoy the river.

Walking up the pedestrian path on the bridge I was a spectator above the park with a birds view.
The Goose Story:  Rachael H. didn't want to get out and meet these honkers and stayed in the Blazer.   I got out to take photos of these here wild mixed farm type geese.  The two main males and the gaggle walked towards me with steel gazes and military strut.  Rachael shut the door to the blazer protecting herself, even the dogs stopped barking and they all watched me from inside the vehicle.  At least they were "safe." What about mom?

Pigeons.
